Detailed development of the Omaha Reunion is underway. An overview of the anticipated Reunion activities is as follows:
WEDNESDAY, MAY 9, 2012: Hotel check in. Free shuttle service from airport to hotel. Evening no cost get acquainted reception (hors d’oeuvres and drinks) in hotel atrium
THURSDAY, MAY 10, 2012: Free breakfast. Board bus for a full day at world class Henry Doorly Zoo and adjacent botanical gardens. Zoo features world’s largest indoor jungle and world’s largest desert dome and nocturnal exhibit. Lunch at the zoo. Travel within the zoo on trams.Return to Hotel. Dinner on your own. Free hotel shuttle service to local restaurants.
FRIDAY, MAY 11, 2012: Free breakfast. Board bus for visit to Strategic Air & Space Museum. Box lunch. Proceed to world famous Father Flanagan’s Boys Town for visit to museum and campus tour. Return to hotel. Dinner on your own. Free hotel shuttle to local restaurants.
SATURDAY, MAY 12, 2012: Free breakfast. Board bus for visit to Omaha’s Old Market area. Visit shops, museums, restaurants. Lunch at the Old Market area on your own. Return hotel after lunch. Association Business Meeting. Social hour and banquet at hotel concluding with our traditional raffle.
SUNDAY, MAY 13, 2012: Free breakfast. Goodbyes. Departure from hotel. Free shuttle service to airport from hotel.
Note: All venues will be individually priced. Everyone will be free to pick and choose what venues they want to attend. Bus will accommodate 54 people.
Hotel cost is $89.00 per night single/double occupancy plus tax. All rooms are suites with refrigerator consisting of either one king bed or two double beds. Room entry from the atrium.
ACTION: In order to minimize mailing costs a full reunion package will be mailed out to only those requesting same. This assumes that you have evaluated the above overview and are giving serious consideration to attending the reunion. I expect to develop the full reunion package to include a detailed description of the reunion activities and associated costs and a form to be filled out and returned to me indicating your venue selection and a check to cover the cost of these events. Hotel reservations will be made by each of you directly with the hotel.

Having lived in Omaha for a number of years we can assure you that you will find the people military friendly, the weather in May pleasant and the venues unique and stimulating.
We look forward to hearing from as many of you as possible and hope to see both old timers and first timers at the 2012 reunion.
